Description

Black and white postcard with large letters reading, "Greetings from Saranac Lake." The letters are made up of small images: "Greetings" has thumbnail headshots of young ladies, and "Saranac Lake" is made up of thumbnail images of sites around Saranac Lake. Sites pictured include the Riverside Hotel, Hotel Algonquin, and Berkeley House, as well as two Ice Palaces, Baker Chapel at the Adirondack Cottage Sanitarium (later renamed Trudeau Sanatorium), and Ausable Chasm. Has a white scroll-style box at bottom front for message. No printer's mark. Used, undivided back, postmarked Saranac Lake, August 15, 1906. Handwritten message on front reads, "How is every thing down in Berks County PA? Don't think I have forgotten them. Are you going back to the city this fall? R.C.S. (20 Park Ave.)." Mailed to Miss Ella Kuth, Lyons Station. Berks Co. PA.
