Photograph postcard showing the Gillender Memorial building at Trudeau Sanatorium. An arrow has been drawn in black in along the right bottom edge. Printed caption on front reads, "Gillender Memorial, Trudeau, N. Y." Used, divided back, white border, postmarked Trudeau, NY, November 28, 1949. Handwritten message on back reads, "Dear Mother + Daddy, This is Dodie's cottage and I am staying right down the hill aways (where the arrow points). I think I've met all [underlined] the inhabitants of Trudeau today (almost); this am + eve spent with Dodie. While she slept this afternoon, 2 other NYH girls, 2 fellows and I took a ride, hiked up a small mountain, saw the most beautiful [underlined] scenery--mostly the sun on snowy mountains. Rode up on the train to a NYH nurse who lives near here. She visits tomorrow. Love, Lucille." Mailed to Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Tate. 110 W. Dudley Ave. Westfield. N.J.Subject Place
