Black-and-White photograph postcard showing the statue of Dr. Edward Livingston Trudeau at Trudeau Sanatorium. No photographer's information. Used, divided back, white border, not mailed. Handwritten message across entire back reads, "Trudeau Memorial. Saranac Lake, N.Y. Edward Livingstone Trudeau, a physician, went to Saranac Lake for his health, having contracted tuberculosis. He was perhaps the first to discover that tubercular patients were benefited by outdoor air in the winter as well as in summer. He was the founder of Trudeau Sanitarium at Saranac Lake, and the "beloved physician" of hundreds of sufferers from tuberculosis."
