Handwritten message on reverse reads, "July 3rd, 1918. Dear Blanche, It is very charming here but lacks the salt water and the clams & fish. The 20 camp boys arrive next week. Am glad to be on the spot and acquainted before they arrive. There is a "Sabbath stillness" now which may not continue. Your summer pleasures are in full swing no doubt. Lovingly yours, S[?] Otis."
