Handwritten message on reverse reads, "Feb. 9, 1910. Dear Bertha, Always good to hear from your dear self - I am in bed yet, bu sit up for a few hours in my room. Hope to get downstairs soon. Did I tell you that I own "Anne of Green Gables"? You must keep on improving. We are having an ideal winter - steady cold weather. I don't hear from the girls because I can't write any letters.
