Black-and-White photograph postcard showing the Bloomingdale Cottage at Knollwood Club. No photographer's mark. Used, divided back, white space on front for message, postmarked Saranac Lake, September 5, 1939.
Handwritten message begins on back and ends on front, "Dear Sally, We are still up here but received your card for which many thanks. Margaret now walks alone and is getting to be a big girlie and very affectionate. Will call you after our return. I suppose you will be home / next week on account of school. Isn't it terrible that we are in the midst of another war? Haven't had any special news from L[?] but presume they all safe in the moment? Greetings to you all from all of us. Sincerely yours, Irma Bloomingdale." Mailed to Mrs. Wm. Rutherford, White Plains, N. Y. Parkway Homes.Subject Place
