Photograph of Dr. Diran Yegian, Laboratory Bacteriologist/Chief of Microbiology at the New York State Hospital for Incipient Tuberculosis, AKA Ray Brook Sanatorium. He is wearing an apron labeled "Laboratory" and a lab coat while looking at a test tube in his right hand. He holds a cigarette in his left hand. A note attached to the back read, "In charge of library. Dr. Yegian's paper showed mechanism through which tubercule bacilli became resistant to drugs. Work done at Ray Brook." Was part of an album of photographs given to Richard Kegel when he left the staff of the New York State Hospital for Incipient Tubercuulosis at Ray Brook, AKA Ray Brook Sanatorium in the 1940s.
