Image was attached to a piece of cardboard backing with a label attached. The label has mostly been ripped off, but it appears to be an entry form for a photography contest. The handwritten caption on the back reads, "Science Study," and it is stamped "Edward L. Gockeler, 69 Park Avenue, Saranac Lake, N. Y." The glue has deteriorated so the photograph and backing are separate.
