Black-and-White photograph of Hazel Fowler, 1898 Winter Carnival queen, seated in a horse-drawn sleigh next to the Ice Palace. The sleigh is decorated with a pair of moose antlers and a polar bear skin with the head attached. Fowler is wearing a crown and holding a wand and the reins of the horses. She has a dark-colored bearskin rug on her lap. Handwritten note on reverse reads, "Queen of the Carnival, Saranac Lake." "Photo by Brown Bros. 108 Fulton St.," is stamped on reverse. Mounted on gray cardboard backing.
