Black-and-White photograph postcard showing the Saranac Lake Free Library prior to its expansion. No photographer's mark. Used, divided back, white border, not postmarked. Handwritten message across back reads, "This is the Public Library at Saranac Lake, of which Stella Norton is now the librarian. I called on her the first time we were there and was glad to find her well enough to hold this position. This is the Public Library at Saranac Lake, of which Stella Norton is now the librarian. I called on her the first time we were there and was glad to find her well enough to hold this position. It is an attractive little library, but like most libraries, is not large enough to house its growing collection of books. Our next trip will be to Lake Placid. Sincerely yours, Bertha Barden.
