Description

Color postcard showing an aerial view of Saranac Lake. Printed caption on front reads, "The MacKenzie Range in the Adirondack Mts. Showing Saranac Lake, N. Y." Photograph by D. P. Church, printed by C. W. Hughes & Co., Inc., Mechanicville, NY. Used, divided back, white border, linen finish, postmarked Saranac Lake, November 28, 1940. Handwritten message on reverse reads, "Another Thanksgiving dinner today, as the Republicans celebrate. A parcel may arrive from Chs. S. Smith in Montreal. I gather now that Ernest has refused to go to bed. If he would, (and I suppose he will eventually) it might solve a lot of things. Gulick's family is here. Miss Drake paid us a visit last night. I guess you didn't meet her. Mrs. Pannill is looking for visitors." Mailed to Mrs. Mainwaring, St. Albans, Brockville, Ont.
