Letter sent by Grace B. [Brickner] to Maurice M. Feustmann, January 23, 1918. 1s., 4p., with envelope. Mailed to Mr. M. M. Feustmann, P. O. Box 405, Saranac Lake, NY from 323 Westminster Rd., Rochester, NY.
Letter reads, "Tuesday- I could use that shoulder again to-night! It's 8:45 and I'm where I was last Monday at this time--in bed. I was at the dentist's this afternoon and he prepared a very sensitive tooth for an inlay. Said tooth is still 'sensitizing' and I'm rather tired--hence my 'hereness' and the desire for some (?) shoulder.
Thank you for the dollar.
I've decided not to marry you unless you write me regularly three times a week. That doesn't mean I will marry you if you do but I won't unless you do.
Please do write me letter that doesn't commence 'My Dear Grace.' Don't you think after six years divided between the above and 'My Dear Miss Brickner' I have a right to request something different? Can't you write just what you feel, even if it is an uncomplimentary salutation? Besides, you'd be much more interesting if you were unexpected. It's nice to be stable and dependable but d-----d [?].
Mattresses and pillows are nice to snuggle down in but oh! I'd love to be petted and babied to-night.
It will be wonderful to have you in N. Y. for four weeks- only I'll probably not see much of you; you'll be with your family.
Don't forget that you're to write three times at week. Please forgive pencil, but it's much easier than ink in bed.
Much love,
Grace B. (F.) (Maybe)."Subject Person/Organization
