Description

Small doll, approximately 6.5 inches tall, with a cork base. She was previously glued, but at this time has come away from her base. The base reads: "Mulher da Aldeia - Acores - Portugal" which translates to "Village Woman." She is wearing what is assumed to be traditional style village clothing for the Azores. She has brown eyes and brown hair parted in the center. On her head is a clay jug. she is wrapped in a tartan shawl, with a green, red and yellow patterned long skirt. This collection was most likely purchased at the Santa Maria airport in the Azores.
