A collection of photographs of Emma Jane Horn Anderson and her husband Jerome Schneck Anderson. Some photographs are not dated so the approximate year range may be proven to be different. -photograph of an elderly Emma, Jerome and her brother Harry J. Horn with an affixed piece of paper. June 18, 1914 Emma's note reads "With love and good wishes, your niece Emma J. Anderson" on the reverse is another note by Emma: "Jerome, myself and my brother Harry J. Horn (your nephew, who lives in Indianapolis, Ind.) Emma J. Anderson" -modern print of Jerome S. Anderson made from a negative or print originally taken in 1862 by Giles Bishop. Bishop's shop was at 22 State St. New London, CT - two photographs in a protective sleeve. One is of Emma and Jerome in their later years and was taken in Westerly, RI in the early 1920s or 1910s. The other is of just Emma, probably taken in the early 1900s judging by her outfit. - modern print of old photograph of Emma when she was approximately 16 years old according to note made by donor. -protective sleeve containing two photographs of Jerome S. Anderson at a young age. One is hand colored, and depicts Jerome at approximately age 10 with a bowtie. The other is a locket-sized photograph outlined in gold of Jerome taken in 1860. He is wearing a top hat and long black coat. -photograph of Jerome S. Anderson in his uniform during the Civil War. The photograph was most likely taken in the Summer of 1864 in Indianapolis, IN. -protective sheet with four photographs of Jerome S. Anderson as a young man. The top two photographs are dated 1862 and 1866 and the remaining two photographs also appear to be from about this time. -photograph in a protective sheet of Emma J. Anderson at a young age. A small cross is taken out of the upper right corner. A barely legible note on the back reads: "Harry, tell Father not to think me [tranjint] for I am not, as Grand Mother made me a [Jarisin] for this picture and I thought that I would send it to you so don't kiss me too often for you might miss my collar. Emma" -two photographs of Jerome S. Anderson taken in 1862 by Giles Bishop of New London. He is standing with a cane and a long black jacket in one, and the other is a close up of his face. -two photographs in a protective sheet of Jerome Anderson and Ms. Emma Horn. Also another fiftieth wedding anniversary card from 1915 is included in the protective sheet. -red booklet with Emma's photograph inside. Image was taken when she was approximately 16 years old. -photograph in protective sheet of Emma Jane Horn age 10 and her sister Mary Horn (later Prather) age 12. Note was written by Jessie Anderson, Arthur Pickett Anderson's wife. -photocopied photograph of Jerome S. Anderson in his later years opening the gate at 98 Water Street. He is wearing a dark, brimmed hat and has a cigarette in his mouth. Photograph was probably taken around 1910.
