Description

A tall, spindle backed wooden stool, most likely made in the mid 19th century. Floor to seat measures 31 inches, and floor to top of back rest is 45.5 inches. According to the donor, this was the postmaster of Stonington's chair and was removed from the Post Office by August Mueller for his antique shop, where her mother saw it. Mr. Mueller gave the chair to Ms. Child's mother.
