The portrait of General William Williams appears to be a 19th century etching. He is seated with a folded piece of paper in his hand. General Williams was instrumental in the Battle of Stonington in 1814. Genealogy information as recorded by Carolyn Lack Davis on the back reads:

Calvin Goddard Williams was the son of General Williams. His portrait depicts him standing beside a small table.
