Description

A small collection of items relating to Clarence A. Wimpfheimer - two seal stamps and a threadcount microscope. A.)The threadcount microscope, also known as a dradenteller, was created by Alfred Suter of 200 Fifth Avenue New York, sometime between 1904 and 1914. The threadcounter has a microscopic eyepiece created by Bausch & Lomb Optical Company. This may have belonged to Clarence's father, Charles A. Wimpfheimer, as there are some initials carved into the back side of this piece. B.)Seal for The Wimpfheimer Foundation, 1949. The seal was made by Hartford Stamp Works at 104 Asylum Street in Hartford, CT. C.) Seal for The Clarence A. Wimpfheimer Foundation, Incorporated. There is no date affiliated with this stamp, and it is not in as good condition as the other seal.
