Description

Framed and matted drawing/etching of the Stonington Manor Inn, measuring 19.75 inches by 15.75 inches. This hotel was the site of the former Day home, Walnut Grove. It was sold in 1911 by Thomas Manners of NYC to Mary Eliza and Emmabel Heath and Annette Norton who turned it into the Stonington Manor Inn. Artwork is signed by K.H. Chalmers. Kenneth H. Chalmers was a local man and Yale graduate from the class of 1917.
