This map is reproduced upon thr occasion of the 300th year since the original township of Stonington, including this area, was first settled in 1649. North Stonington was incorporated as a separate township in 1807, at that time the 118th town with a population of 2,524. In area North Stonington is Connectcut's 7th largest township.
