Scope and Content

Copy, "Map of the Harbor and Borough of Stonington," surveyed and drawn by Lieut. J. Prescott, 1st Regiment of the Artillery, September 1827. Includes a tide table for Fisher's Island Sound as recorded Sept-Oct 1827, refernces to the locations of the RAMILIES, frigate PACTOLUS, brig DISPATCH and bomb ship TERROR during the first bombardment of Stonington (1814), street map of the borough, survey of the floor of the harbor, profiles and plan of the proposed pier, and a map of Stonington Harbor situated in a broad view of Fisher's Island Sound (including the CT-RI coastline from New London to Westerly, Fisher's Island, and parts of Gardener's Island and Long Island).
