Congressional order appointing Benjamin Haskitt to be "Ensign of Captain Ebenezer Brewster's Company in the tenth Reigment of ------- Commanded by Colonel Samuel H. Parson", January 1, 1776. Signed by John Hancock (President on Congress). Samuel Holden Parsons was born in Lyme, CT and commanded his regiment at the Battle of Bunker Hill. Ebenezer Brewster was born in Middletown, CT.
