Arrest warrant for Jonathan Phelps of Stonington, Conneticut, "an absent and absconding debtor to the value of two thousand dollars," 1811. Jonathan Phelps (1779-?) was the brother of Joseph Denison Phelps (1769-1809), who was the great grandfather of Eugene Phelps Edwards of Stone Acres Farm, Stonington.
