Scope and Content

A collection of letters and photographs that have not been identified and are not clearly related to the other documents in the collection. Most of these letters with foreign stamps were in the Kemp's chocolate box. 1. Calumet Club, Chicago stationary. Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 29, 1893. Appears to be notes or a transcription of Alfred Tennyson poems. 2. Small poem written on a bit of paper, signed Anon Y Mouse. On reverse: "Good luck to a good fellow, R. D. Darrell, 29 October 1898" 3. Title page of a Collection of British Authors Tauchnitz Edition, signed "To Betsy Loper, a New Year Card 1910, Turich AD Slocomb" 4.Empty envelope addressed to M. C. A. Aspinwall, Washington DC. Postmarked March 20, 1929 5. Empty envelope addressed to Mrs. Henry B. Barnes of Long Island, New York from Mrs. E. G. Koch in the Dominican Republic. August 12, 1957 8. Letter to Mrs. Sellers from Mrs. Ramsey offering her fashion show tickets to Miss Loper and her sister. August 22, 1957 9. Empty envelope addressed to Mrs. Philip Cottrell. Postmarked March 7, 1968 and stamped in Brasil. 10. Empty envelope to Mrs. Elizabeth Babcock, 1968 11. Official entry document to Portugal for Miss Abby Babcock, undated 12. Empty envelope addressed to Private Alfred H. Barnes on Electric Boat stationary 13. Blank Winthrop Trust Company mail deposit slip 14. Unidentified photograph of a toddler 15. Photograph of three children. Note says "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Peter and Ellie, Darcy, Betty and Bobby"
