Front cover of a scrapbook created by Nathaniel Brown Palmer II, in Stonington, 1861. Below his name it says "Private Letters." Unfortunately none of these private letters were included in the box with this donation, so we may assume that this was the cover of a scrapbook that has since been disassembled or was in another lot box during the Pine Point auction in 1976.
