Scrapbook of 19th century newspapers, with some advertisements and illustrations. Articles are pasted over an earlier ship's log, which is visible around the margins and in some sections. Some articles are politically aligned with mentions of the Temperance Movement and Republican party. Donor note reads: "maybe Stonington steamship captains "Thayer". Binding damaged, handle carefully.
