Bible belonging to Peleg Palmer (1754-1800), son of Abijah Palmer and Bridget Stanton. The covers are missing and the binding is warped and broken in some areas. What type of bible or its publication year are undocumented. Two pages are written on. One reads: "Peleg Palmer's Book, Stonington, Mar 1793. March 6 at 1 oclock this morning my honored Father departed this life, being eighty two yeras of age. Simeon Palmers Book." Another page lists marriages and births. It reads: "1779 Peleg Palmer was married to Mary Burtch. November 14, 1779 Lydia Palmer was born. 1784 Saturday March 27th Adam Palmer was born about the setting of the sun. Camion Burnier's (?) Book. 1786 Thursday 3rd August Desire Palmer was born 8 oclock fore noon. March 8, 1789 Sunday Huldah Palmer born between 1 and 2 oclock pm. 1791 October 14 Nancy was born. Wednesday 23 July 1794 at 4 pm. 4th October 1794. Friday April 15 1796 Susannah was born just after sunrise."Collection
