A press photograph of a group of men walking down Water Street in the Borough, in front of Marietta Durgin's dry goods store. They are all dressed in hats and suits with cameras around their necks. A young woman is sitting on her front stoop, watching them approach. Back of the photograph reads: "Camera enthusiasts were afforded a new treat when the New Haven Railroad inaugurated its first 'Picture Train'. The train makes the run from New York City to Stonington, Conecticut, where the cameramen - and many camerawomen - can satisfy their longings for photos in the picturesque town and surrounding countryside. Here the quiet of Stonington on Sunday is invaded by the photographers. The young lady on the left evidently anticipated their arrival. June 22, 1937."Collection
