Reverse of the photograph reads "Last Fishing Fleet - Part of the Stonington fishing fleet rests in port on a foggy morning in November. The state's last fishing fleet, known as the Southern New ENgland Fishermens and Lobstermens Association, included more than 50 boats when it was formed on December 4, 1931. Now, there are 30. Stonington seafarers descended from a seafaring tradition begun by intrepid Yankee traders in clipper ships."Collection
