Holy Bible belonging to William Potter of Stonington (1794-1858). Family record shows birth dates of all his children and some of their deaths. Items have been stuck between the pages to be pressed - some flowers, bits of newspaper. Also included is the marriage certificate for Susan Potter and William King of Newport, RI, who were wed in Stonington October 5, 1845. There is also a letter to William addressed to Malden, NY where he lived for a short time from a family member - maybe his mother?
Loose items have been removed from their location in the pages and placed in a corresponding folder with the same accession number.Collection
