An account by the owners of the brig "Friendship" of their ship being ransacked by privateers off the French coast on their way to Amsterdam. The event was recorded by William Williams, Nathan Smith Stanton, Coddington Billings and Ebenezer Stanton (who at the time of the testimonial had died). The ship was captured in 1809, and the men still alive request assistance for their losses from the Commissioners. A transcription accompanies the document.Collection
