A letter addressed to Charles Williams, Esq. of Stonington from James P. Kirkwood on March 28, 1843. The letter references a scheme that the two men are working on, which involves two roads - Providence and Norwich. They intend to charge for either route as a way to make money. This is most likely in reference to railroads. Kirkwood makes reference to accompanying tables which are not with this letter. A full transcription is included within the folder.
Item was given by Ms. Laura Moran. A letter written by former librarian Anne Tate, to the donor, is also included in the folder.Collection
