A library accession book created by Melville Dewey and completed by the Stonington Free Library in the 1890s. The first few pages include an explanation of how to use the book and also helpful library abbreviations. This volume records the accession number, author, title, place and publisher, year published, binding material, size, number of pages, source, cost, class, book and volume. The remarks column appears to have initials, but it may be part of a call-number system. Items that were discarded or deaccessioned have a red line through them with the date of removal.Collection
