Photograph showing 48 to 52 West Broad Street, Pawcatuck c.1930s. According to the 1938/1939 directory, and confirmed by the photograph, these businesses included The Westerly Bowling Alley, Whewell's Fish & Chips, and Gordon's Market/ Morris Ethelman's second hand clothing store. Crist Ferraro owned this building at the time and later built the Ferraro block here. It is unclear whether this photograph was taken to document the damage from the 1938 Hurricane, or as part of the demolition process before the building of the Ferraro Block.
