A black and white photograph about 8x10 of the figurehead eagle from the Great Republic, as owned by A. A. Low Brothers of New York. This ship was designed by Captain Nathaniel B. Palmer, and the eagle used to be in the collection of the Stonington Historical Society. It is now in the collection of Mystic Seaport Museum.Collection
