A collection of handwritten correspondence from H.J. Morse the Adjutant General, on official letthead of the General Headquarters of the State of Connecticut Adjutant-General's Office. Letters are between October 28, 1863 and February 9, 1864 and are addressed to the following people: Captain F.A. Pratt of Company "M" of the 1st Connecticut Artillery in the Army of the Potomac, First Lieutenant R.S. Douglass of Company "M" of the 1st CT Artillery, and Colonel H.L. Abbot of 1st CT Artillery. Letters primarily address compensation for enlisted and volunteer men and their families.Collection
