A deed from Robert Sheffield to Samuel Bottum, dated March 16, 1802. For the amount of $120 Samuel Bottum received the following property: "certain lot of land lying and being at Long Point in Stonington together with the dwelling house thereon standing. Said lot is butted and bounded as follows, namely, beginning at the norwest corner of the preimises which is about five feet northwest of the dwelling house adjoining westerly on the street and from thence running easterly adjoining onother land northerly of said Robert Sheffield and leaving about four feet of land to the northward of said house till it comes to a stake standing about six feet northeasterly from said dwelling house...."
