Scope and Content

A collection of four small pieces of paper, with notes, receipts and ledgers written on them. All of which pertain to some estimation of hoops sold by Mr. John York. January 17, 1782 - For value received please to play Elisha Denison for seven thousand one hundred and 6 hoops at 60/ per thousand and charge to Account of yours, John York A count of hoops from Mr. John York - undated, an inventory of size of hoops and how many. On the reverse, math and notes about who got how many hoops and amount paid/owed. Another sheet of accounting and math work with some notes, this one mentions 1782 Brig Robinson, Brig Betsey, Tribby and Sloop Fanny. Also mentions Jonathan Randall, Jedediah Randall, Zebulon Brown and Jonathan Williams. A small slip of paper Mr. York's account of hoops bought for Mr. Waldron with some notes about size and material.
