Handwritten account by Emma W. Palmer (1835-1912) of the story of Huldah Hall during the Battle of Stonington in 1814. Ms. Palmer recounts a story she was often told as a child about Huldah's courageous decision to stay with her mother, and her decent insistence that she be buried, despite the danger.
