Scope and Content

A court case held in the County Court of New London in 1862 to 1864. It was a trespass case between John Russel Burrows versus N.M. Gallup and R.W. Carpenter. The suit arose after a disagreement on ownership and right to use the Burrows' wharf as a public landing place. Testimony is given by a number of townspeople in Mystic and Groton.
