A collection of annual reports of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, division 1 located in Washington County, Rhode Island. The meeting place is noted as 13 Lincoln Avenue, which is in Pawcatuck. Each of them also includes a list of officers for each year.
1936: President Michael O'Connell, Vice President Keyron Doyle, Recording Secretary John Shea, Financial Secretary Martin Devine and Treasurer John Donahue.
1937: President Michael O'Connell, Vice President John M. Donahue, Recording Secretary John Shea, Financial Secretary Martin Devine, Treasurer John M. Donahue.
1938 - 1940 - Officers the same as above
Also included in this folder are a copy of the constitution and by-laws of "The Fathers' Club of Saint Michael's Church", which was formed to bring the Fathers of the Parish together for the purpose of promoting the educational interests of the territory served by the school and more particularly to assist the Faculty of St. Michael's School in all that pertains to the welfare of the students. The by-laws are undated, but most likely date to the 1930s time period.
The other item is a letter written in 1933 to the Division 1 group in Westerly, by the State Secretary Robert J. Monaghan. He alerted the brothers to drape their charter for 30 days out of respect for the death of Bishop William A. Hickey who died October 4, 1933.Collection
