Scope and Content

1 archivally framed 1716 document (patent for land grants) signed by CT Governor Gurdon Saltonstall, giving land in Stonington to heads of household. This document is transcribed in Richard A. Wheeler's "History of Stonington." Probably came from old Town Clerk's office of Elnathan Minor, which stood across the street from David Rathbun's house.
