Alice Annie Ratcliffe Crowther (1869-1935) standing on the floor of the Clark Thread Mill in Lower Pawcatuck, around 1900. The machinery was made by Howard & Bullough, LTD of Aggrington, England which specialized in cotton mill machinery.
