50 photos and postcards of early Portuguese families.
"The people in this photo album were friends and family of Mary Gomez-Gomes Mello and Manuel Sousa Mello. Manual worked on whalers and sealers as did Mary's father, Antoine Gomes, who also lived in Stonington, so these pictures are of the early Portuguese settlers in Stonington, New London, and New Bedford" Henrietta Mello Mayer.
