Description

One of pair of French porcelain jars with lids in the Chinese mode. Gold borders, purple diaper pattern. On the sides are white panels with purple and red flowers in the center. Total of 6 panels; 2 larger ones on opposing sides and 4 smaller ones on opposing sides. The lid has Foo Dog knobs on the top with four white panels with flowers in them. At the bottom of the jar is a Asian looking mark. These are likely Samson & Cie, a French porcelain maker, 1810-mid-20th century.
