Description

Tantalus (liquor cabinet) with 4 decanters & 11 (originally 16) glasses with gold decorations. Mirror in lid; key in lock, brass handles on each side. Rosewood, zebrawood & burl veneers; enamel labels on bottles: Cointreau, Cognac, Chartreuse, Benedictine. Top part of the box which holds the glass bottles and cups can be lifted off. Originally in the Whitehall collection.
