Description

Desk/chest known as a Butler's desk , c.1850, Top drawer opens down on hinge to create writing surface. Veneered facade; pineapple covered pillasters on each side and furry paw feet with four toes each. Original drawer pulls have been replaced. 45-1/2"w x 23-1/2"d x 48"h Per notes from Whitehall folder, late Empire style, dark reddish stain was popular at the time.
