Round sticker for the United States Antarctic Program, Palmer Station. Palmer Station is an American research base in Antarctica on Anvers Island, the only US station on the continent located north of the Antarctic circle. Initial construction of the station was finished in 1968. The base is much smaller than others on the continent, with about 40 staff, and is focused on marine and biology research such as seabirds and plankton.Collection
