Photo of Old Fairbrother house on corner of Union & Water. Photo was taken by Dorothea Gould in 1950, house was demolished in 1951. Typed note givng history included covering both photos (see 2002.0613.102 Note included: "My snapshots of the old Fairbrother house, taken Sept. 1950, demolished in 1951. When visiting my Mother she spoke of the forthcoming demolition, so with my trusty Kodak took these two snapshots. This lovely gambrel-roofed house with later addition housed a bakery operated by the Late Judge Fairbrother, Sentor's father, Isaac N. Fairbrother, who baked bread for the Sound steamers. At various times used in undertaking parlors of Charles Davis, who also conducted an antique restoration business and sold antiques. Location Water & Union Sts.
