Description
A guide for training of militiamen including illustrations and charts. The book is divided up into sections and chapters. Sections include: School of the Soldier, School of the Company, School of the Battalion, Exercises and Maneuvers for Light-Infantry and Riflemen, Parade and Review. Illustrations include proper soldier stances and battlefield organization for many situations.
Inside front board is a pasted in note that reads: " State of Connecticut. Farmington, July 22, 1830. To the Captain of the Flank Company in the Regiment of Infantry.
