Ledward Island (Elihu) House Note: House of Edith _____ Lewis 1920 or so after Will Ledward bought Elihu Island and named it Ledward Island then. Edith and I (Dorothea) walked over from Stonington Village in fall of 1948 - the caretaker's wife took us through house and grounds. Freeman owner at that time, 1988 owner unknown.
